Gorteen Farmhouse boasts a number of advantages which make it a unique location for your stay in the west of Ireland.

Gorteen has a beautifully maintained garden if you just want to relax for the day. Convenient to limerick and Galway, but set apart in its own rural landscape, Gorteen is the perfect place to relax and de-stress yourself!

For the fisherman, Gorteen has drying sheds for your tackle and gear, and is convenient to the coarse fishing hotspot of the lakes of east Clare, famed for their quality fishing. Mary has a number of contacts in the local angling community who will supply boats and angling details on request.

Gorteen is a working farm, and for those who wish to see farming at first hand, there is a walk through the farm available, leading to an idyllic local lake.

If you're peckish during your stay, dinners are available on request, or if you prefer, Mary will recommend the best of the restaurants in nearby Ennis, and in the locality.
